I found this web site about synergistic thinking /learning while I was searching for a word to explain my processes. I needed a word to contextualise my research in ’Investigate’ Project 4 before presenting my ideas for ’Realise’ Project 5.

The charts and big words that Richard Giordanou uses to promote his idea made no impact on me. They were hard to fathom until I listened to his presentation. I wish I had had time to explore his ideas more before my presentation. I learnt a lot, although I nearly gave up a few times, he evidences some really strong strategies.
-Presentation and actualising your idea is key to its reception. This is effectively demonstrated in his video in which he states that learning and remembering effectively is enhanced by using our visual, emotional and physical (empathic) capacities, and this is the key to understanding his idea.
Simply he states on his first web page that his idea is:
Grasping information (Grab it!)
Organizing information (Get it together!)
Retaining information (Hang onto it!)
Calling up information (Use it!)
He uses this this diagram.
SYNERGISTIC THINKING
“atomic structure”

I think he should have used the two together proving that a synergistic presentation works better.

May be they have some sort of constraints when presenting in a lecture.
I think back to the Tim Minchin lecture he didn’t use diagrams to get his message across but he did paint pictures with words.
