Week 33:launch expert research.

JM-currently on gardening leave-he managed to have a quick chat in between childcare and development meetings: Fab Ideas, basically if our product, our art book is about active passive, think what we could use to enforce that, what would inspire and conjure those thoughts or images.

1- Stick to our relevant pathway-fine art-sculpture-poetry-painting-photography-words- the tools and trades of my collaborators -makes sense-work with what you know.

2-Make it sexy-tastefully -sculpturally?

3-Make it public -arty up market location- how about Piccadilly Circus?

4- Make it a bit edgy- Ill think about that

Basically make the passive come alive.

I was reminded of the articles about David Hockney rescued by firemen at the opening of his show in The Netherlands, great press.

I have images of mod rock bandage bound strapping and curvaceous bodies white washed like Cy Twombly sculpture posing on plinths slowly coming to life and handing out our art book to rather happily surprised passers by. Paintings coming to life and chatting about the weather. Reminiscent of the Abercrombie and fitch opening which I thought clever.

If we needed a gimmick to launch this would work well, it would get attention.
