Materials
A tea towel or cloth that you can wash on 60%.
Something to eat that stains.(left overs are perfect).
A plastic bag that goes over your bowl.
Washing detergent.
Equipment
A large bowl that fits your cloth.
A washing machine or muslepower and a bucket or the bath.
- Take one white clean tea towel and prepare for tie dye.
2. Left over red cabbage cooked in red wine and apple juice/ Edible staingfood stuff. Place in your mixing bowl , and press your prepare fabric into to it until you are satisfied it is saturated.
Make sure you get as much of the liquid in to the weave as possible.
3.Admire the colours, cover the bowl with the plastic back and leave to develop.
4. After 24 hours remove the plastic and unravel your coth. Admire the colours and patterns.
5. Rinse out the cloth in warm water and put in the washing machine on a 60% hot wash with the detergent. watch and listen to the washing.
6. When the cycle has finished, remove and hang up to dry. Admire the clean laundered cloth. Remember the nice colours and patterns.
7. Dry & fold ready to repeat.
