Regroup Collective’s Shadows We Cast exhibition explored perception and reality through art.
Shadows We Cast, featured a diverse collection of works from 19 regroup members including sculpture, installation, painting, drawing and printmaking, inspired by Plato’s allegory of the cave.
The exhibition invited viewers to question their own perceptions of the world and to explore the concept of reality and sensory experience.

“Magic Fish Tree” is the image that I created while exploring beliefs about what might be true. Listening to Ella Fitzgerald singing “Paper Moon” I combined images that took me to that moment at bedtime when we listen to stories before we dream. Entering a world of our imagination, the trees reach up into the sky, fish fly, and the stars seem closer. It is in this world we believe the impossible and dare to dream. This image like the dream we dreamt, only lasted long enough to be captured in digital form. The “Magic Fish Tree” reminds me to hope and dream. “
